Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about our programme — from first enquiry to returning home after transplantation.

About Transplanta

What our coordination programme offers and why it exists.

01

What exactly does Transplanta do for me?

We are your single point of contact from first enquiry to returning home. Our team independently reviews your medical case, determines eligibility, manages all documentation and communication with the transplant facility, monitors your clinical profile every ~90 days, coordinates travel and logistics, and provides post-transplant discharge support. You focus on your health — we handle everything else.

02

Do I need a coordinator to access the programme?

Yes. The Belarusian state transplantation system does not accept direct applications from individual foreign patients. Access requires structured medical documentation prepared to specific clinical standards, ongoing compatibility monitoring, and formal liaison with the facility. Transplanta exists precisely to manage this process — from preparing your case to maintaining your active profile in the system throughout the waiting period.

03

Is Transplanta involved in organ allocation?

All clinical decisions — including organ allocation, surgical eligibility, and timing — are made exclusively by state medical specialists at RNPC Minsk. Our role is to ensure you reach that stage fully prepared: with a complete medical profile, current compatibility data, and uninterrupted communication with the facility. Without this coordination, the process cannot function for an international patient.

04

Is this programme legitimate?

The transplantation system we coordinate with operates under the Law of the Republic of Belarus and has served more than 100 international patients per year. All procedures are performed at licensed state facilities by qualified transplant specialists. Our coordination role is transparent, formally structured, and documented in a written agreement with every patient.

Getting Started

How to begin and what to expect from your first contact with us.

01

How do I start the process?

Submit a consultation request through our website. Our coordination team contacts you within 48 hours to discuss your case, answer questions, and guide you through the next steps. This initial conversation is free and carries no obligation.

02

What documents will I need?

A confirmed diagnosis, recent lab results (within 3 months), relevant imaging, your current treatment protocol, and blood group & HLA typing if available. We provide a detailed checklist and handle translation if your records are not in English.

03

Do I have to commit to anything at the assessment stage?

No. Stage 01 (Medical Evaluation) is independent from Stage 02 (Transplant Coordination). You receive a written eligibility report with a clear determination — before making any decisions or financial commitments. This gives you a definitive answer on whether the programme is a viable option for your case.

04

Who is eligible?

Patients with documented end-stage organ failure — kidney, liver, heart, or lung. Eligibility is determined strictly on clinical grounds: your diagnosis, current medical status, and compatibility profile. We assess every case individually during Stage 01 and provide an honest written determination.

Your Waiting Period

What Transplanta does for you between acceptance and transplantation.

01

How long will I wait?

Our programme offers significantly shorter waiting periods than most European systems. For kidney: up to 12 months (vs. 5–9 years EU average). Liver: up to 12 months. Heart: up to 8 months. Lung: up to 10 months. These are individual estimates based on programme data — no fixed timeline is guaranteed.

02

What does Transplanta do during the waiting period?

We actively manage your case. Every ~90 days, we coordinate updated laboratory submissions, reassess your compatibility profile, and ensure your file remains current in the system. When a match becomes available, we notify you immediately and begin coordinating your travel and arrival.

03

Will I have a dedicated contact person?

Yes. From the moment you enter the programme, you have a single coordination manager who knows your case, your history, and your situation. You are never passed between departments or left waiting for callbacks.

04

What if my health changes during the wait?

That is exactly why we conduct regular monitoring. If your condition changes, we update your profile accordingly and communicate any relevant developments to the medical facility. Our role is to keep your case optimally positioned at all times.

Investment & Support

What it costs, what is included, and how we support you through the entire process.

01

How much does the programme cost?

Starting from €90,000 — covering full coordination, medical evaluation, the transplant procedure, and post-operative care. The final amount depends on organ type, medical complexity, and hospitalisation length. You receive a detailed individual estimate after your eligibility assessment — before any financial commitment.

02

What exactly is included in that fee?

The complete pathway: independent medical review, eligibility assessment, ongoing clinical monitoring, compatibility testing, organ availability coordination, travel and documentation logistics, facility liaison, the transplant procedure itself, post-operative care, discharge coordination, and medical record transfer to your home physician.

03

What logistical support do I get?

We arrange flights, accommodation, all medical documentation, direct communication with the facility, and arrival coordination in Minsk. You do not need to navigate a foreign healthcare system, handle paperwork in another language, or coordinate with the facility yourself — that is what we do.

04

What happens after the transplant?

Our coordination does not end with the procedure. We manage your discharge documentation, prepare complete transplant records for your home physician, arrange return travel, and remain available to facilitate communication between you, your local medical team, and RNPC Minsk for any post-operative questions.
