1. Nature of the Service

Transplanta is an independent medical coordination and case management service operating under the brand name “Transplanta — International Transplant Coordination Programme”. We facilitate patient access to the regulated state transplantation system of the Republic of Belarus by providing independent medical eligibility assessment, administrative coordination, logistical support, and ongoing clinical monitoring.

Transplanta does not perform surgical procedures, allocate organs, or make clinical decisions. All medical procedures and evaluations are performed by qualified transplant specialists at licensed state facilities, primarily the Republican Scientific-Practical Centre for Organ and Tissue Transplantation (RNPC) in Minsk, regulated under the Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 28-З “On Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues” (1997, as amended 15.07.2021).

The programme covers coordination for kidney, liver, heart, and lung transplantation. Kidney transplantation represents the largest volume of international patient cases.

2. Programme Structure

The coordination programme consists of two stages:

Stage 01 — Medical Evaluation & Programme Entry: Independent assessment of the patient’s medical records, compatibility profiling, and written eligibility determination. This stage is independent and does not require commitment to Stage 02.

Stage 02 — Transplant Activation & Coordination: Ongoing clinical monitoring (approximately every 90 days), repeated compatibility testing, organ availability notification, travel and logistics coordination, and liaison with the transplant facility.

Post-transplant aftercare coordination — including discharge documentation, medical record transfer, and return logistics — is included in the programme.

3. Transplantation Eligibility

Transplantation is subject to individual medical evaluation and depends on the following factors:

  • Individual medical eligibility and clinical suitability, assessed on a case-by-case basis

  • Organ compatibility (blood group, HLA typing, and other immunological parameters)

  • Organ availability within the state allocation system, which cannot be predicted or controlled

  • The clinical decisions of the transplantation medical team at the RNPC

4. Organ Procurement and Allocation

Transplanta does not procure, purchase, sell, or facilitate the acquisition of human organs under any circumstances. All organs originate exclusively from cadaveric donors within the Belarusian state donation system.

Organ allocation is determined solely by the medical specialists at the RNPC in accordance with Belarusian law. Transplanta exercises no influence over allocation decisions.

5. Legality of International Transplantation

Transplantation of foreign nationals from cadaveric donors is legally established under the legislation of the Republic of Belarus. The procedure is conducted under formal medical contracts between the patient and the state medical facility.

Patients are advised to consult with legal and medical advisors in their country of residence regarding any applicable national regulations relating to medical treatment abroad.

6. Programme Investment

The programme fee starts from €90,000, covering coordination, medical evaluation, the transplant procedure, and post-operative care. The final amount depends on organ type, medical complexity, and length of hospitalisation.

This is a self-funded programme and is not covered by public or private health insurance in most countries. An individual estimate is provided after the eligibility assessment, before any financial commitment is required. Payment structure and terms are discussed during the consultation process.

7. Waiting Period Disclaimer

Indicative waiting periods referenced on this website (including but not limited to “up to 12 months” for kidney transplantation) are based on programme data and are provided for general informational purposes only.

Actual waiting times vary between individuals and depend on medical eligibility, organ compatibility, and availability within the state allocation system. No fixed timeline is guaranteed. Comparative references to European waiting times are based on publicly available data from NHS Blood and Transplant (2024) and Eurotransplant.

8. Medical Advice Disclaimer

The information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. It is not a substitute for professional medical consultation, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified physician.

All clinical decisions relating to transplantation eligibility, surgical suitability, and post-operative care are made by the medical team at the RNPC, not by Transplanta.

9. Data Processing & Privacy

Personal data submitted through this website is collected for the purpose of responding to individual enquiries and conducting eligibility assessments. Data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the GDPR where applicable.

Your data will:

  • Be used solely for processing your consultation request and, if applicable, administering your programme participation

  • Not be sold or transferred to third parties without your explicit consent, except as required for coordination with the transplant facility

  • Be retained only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose, or as required by applicable law

  • Be handled with strict medical confidentiality at all stages of the process

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Transplanta shall not be liable for any medical outcomes, complications, or adverse events arising from transplantation procedures performed by third-party medical facilities. Transplanta functions as a coordination intermediary only and does not bear clinical responsibility for medical procedures.

11. Governing Law

The terms governing the use of this service and any coordination agreements are specified individually in the coordination documentation provided to each patient upon programme entry. Applicable law and jurisdiction will be stated in the relevant coordination agreement.
